WRIGHT is a new line of design-driven mattresses and bedding products made in the USA. The company’s flagship product is a foam mattress that has been available for purchase in November 2015.
After years of working behind the scenes in the mattress industry, WRIGHT founder Dan Hauber endeavored to create the products he couldn’t find on the market: mattresses and bedding for people who care about quality materials and great design. WRIGHT is the first company to pair thoughtfully designed bedding products with a carefully considered customer experience at an accessible price.
“We built WRIGHT with an appreciation for American craftsmanship and ingenuity,” says Hauber. “And we strive to live up to that legacy with thoughtful design and lasting products for the most important spaces in our customer’s lives.”
The flagship WRIGHT 1.27 mattress offers an optimal balance between comfort and support. Developed over two years of diligent product testing—and after 26 prototypes—WRIGHT struck perfection with its 27th iteration, featuring five layers of viscoelastic memory foam with precisely tuned density and airflow gradients.
The top layer, which consists of 1.5″ of ultra high-density memory foam, provides an unparalleled feeling of weightlessness, while the next two layers of temperature-responsive foam delivers just the right amount of bounce and spring. The bottom base layers offer full ergonomic support and perfect alignment, aiding in deeper and more restful sleep.
To prevent heat trapping, a drawback of many foam mattresses, the top foam layer is infused with heat-wicking particles, and all foam layers are ventilated with a cross hatching of air passages. Additionally, the mattress features ventilated side vents to increase breathability and circulate air. A quilted fabric shell reinforces smooth-fitting sheets.
Each mattress is manufactured in Georgia, where WRIGHT works closely with its suppliers to ensure the highest standard of design integrity.
WRIGHT meticulously selects every material and component for its long-lasting value, and each mattress comes with a fifteen-year warranty and 60-day money-back guarantee.
WRIGHT offers a complimentary home delivery and white-glove installation service, setting the mattress up in a customer’s bedroom, and removing and recycling their old one. This is available nationwide within one week of purchase. Customers wishing to have their mattresses sooner can have it delivered straight to their door the day after purchase without in-home installation. All delivery and installation is free of charge. In addition, WRIGHT offers a risk-free 60-day home trial, offering returns and exchanges for any reason.
“We spend a third of our lives in bed. It’s where we recharge and reset, making it one of the most important elements of our personal space,” says Hauber. “With that in mind, a mattress should empower you to wake up refreshed and ready to take on the day.”
Each WRIGHT mattress is compatible with any surface, including a standard box spring.
A Twin mattress retails for $1,180; a Full retails for $1,530; a Queen retails for $1,785; a King retails for $2,240; and a California King retails for $2,240.
In addition to mattresses, WRIGHT also retails an exceptionally soft 500-thread count Supima cotton sheet set that includes a flat sheet, a fitted sheet and two pillow cases all available in crisp, clean white shade. Just as supple as Egyptian cotton, Supima is the highest quality American long-staple cotton, grown in Arizona and California, where the sheets are sewn. WRIGHT will also retail pillows and duvets made of duck down, purchased from farms in the Midwest and manufactured in Southern Ohio.
Additionally, WRIGHT has partnered with Brooklyn-based textile designer Caroline Z. Hurley on a linen duvet cover.
A coil spring mattress, as well as additional bedding products and textiles, are slated to hit the market in the first quarter of 2016.
WRIGHT currently has a temporary showroom in Manhattan’s Soho district that will be open through the end of 2015. The showroom is located at 188 Lafayette St. New York, NY 10013, where potential customers are invited to try out the mattress.
WRIGHT’s investors include Brian Spaly, founder of Trunk Club and Bonobos.
