CNR Furniture – 17th International Istanbul Furniture Fair, the world’s largest and Turkey’s only international furniture fair, brings together the world’s leading companies under the roof of CNR in August. National participation from Russia, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Egypt, Kuwait, Serbia, Bulgaria and Moldova will be provided to the fair, which will host more than 500 companies and more than 150 thousand buyers from 135 countries. A trade volume of over 2 billion dollars is expected at the fair, where more than 60 foreign brands will exhibit their products.
CNR Furniture – 17th International Istanbul Furniture Fair, which the industry is eagerly waiting for, is preparing to open its doors with a series of measures within the scope of the new return to normal criteria. One of the CNR Holding subsidiaries, Istanbul Fairs Inc. Organized by the fair, the fair will host its visitors for the 17th time this year. Industry professionals from all over the world are expected to visit the fair, which will be held at CNR Expo Istanbul Expo Center between 3 – 8 August 2021.
The fair also draws attention with its national participation
CNR Holding Chairman of the Board Ceyda Erem, who made an evaluation about the fair, stated that CNR Furniture, which is one of the biggest gatherings of the furniture industry, will hold it in August, when the new normalization process will be implemented most widely all over the world.
Ceyda Erem, who stated that they broke a record by reaching 148,718 visitors at the fair they organized last year, continued her words as follows: We will host more than 500 companies and more than 150 thousand buyers from the country.”
Emphasizing that the most important companies of the world will showcase their special products at the fair, Ceyda Erem, “Over 60 foreign brands will add a different color to our fair. There will also be national participation from Russia, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Egypt, Kuwait, Serbia, Bulgaria and Moldova,” she said.
Foreign companies want to sell furniture to Turkey
Buyers consisting of wholesalers and agents, furniture store owners, chain stores, hotels, restaurants, cafes and schools, architects and project companies will come together with the biggest brands of the industry for trade in an area of 80,000 square meters.
Emphasizing that the fair will attract attention with B2B bilateral business meetings this year, Ceyda Erem, “By bringing together 100s of companies and the world’s strongest buyers at the same table, we contribute to the creation of a business volume of billions of dollars. The Turkish furniture industry, which exports to 180 countries, will open up to new markets with the effect of the fair. The fair, where exports are discussed for the Turkish furniture industry, now paves the way for imports. While Italian and Israeli buyers wanted to buy furniture as a group at the fair, especially EU countries and Egyptians; Foreign companies participating in the fair also want to sell furniture to Turkey,” she said.
Innovative products will be exhibited in special sections
The fair, which will bring together the industry giants and buyers from all over the world under one roof, will also draw attention with its special sections to be held for the first time this year. At the fair where trade will be discussed, innovative solutions for the sector will be presented to domestic and foreign industry professionals in the Medical Furniture Special Section, Lighting Special Section, Carpet Special Section and Upholstery Fabric Special Section.
World-renowned designers will share new trends in furniture
Interview events will also be held with the participation of world-famous designers, interior architects, academics, brand managers and influencers within the scope of the fair. In the interviews, where developments in the sections of special guests will be discussed, information will be given about the change, development and future of the sector during the pandemic process, aesthetic and decorative touches in furniture, the effects of technology and design on the sector, innovation and new trends in the sector.
