The thickness of visco that takes the form the human body is 7-9 cm. Could you please indicate the differences between Turkey and the rest of the world in respect of beds?
US, China and Brazil are top three among the countries in the world in bed production and consumption. Turkey hasn’t been able to reach top 10 county list in bed exportation, yet the sector size reached 1 billion Turkish Liras in which the annual grow rate drew up 7% and every year the activity of Turkish producers is increasing in global market.
Considering 2 million average bed production in Turkey, It is observed that 95% is spring bed and 5% is sponge bed. This figure, respecting global production data, 40% spring and %45 is sponge. Especially in Turkey, the physical features such as softness & toughness are more important than the material content for the customers. Hard bed takes an important place Anatolian, Middle East perception due to cedar culture. The direct impression from our customers is in parallel with this aspect. In Europe, soft products are highly demanded. Americans usually prefer big, fluffy and high beds. Owing to the hygienic measures, Germans always demand covered beds.
Respecting customer profile in Turkey, Turkish people still do not buy their beds with consciousness of a health factor in their lives and they use the beds for many years. Although they experience physical problems they face, they are not in need of renewing their beds. The importance of the bed on human health should be taken into consideration and the awareness of should be created. Two years period of bed renewing in Europe, observed as 8 years in Turkey. Therefore, both producers and final vendors play a vital role for raising the awareness of consumers.
