The International Sleep Products Association (ISPA), the trade association representing mattress manufacturers and component suppliers, has released its 2014 Mattress Industry Report of Sales and Trends.
The report publishes comprehensive current and historical data on the mattress industry’s performance. The 2014 report includes a 20- year history of wholesale units, dollars and average unit prices for mattresses and foundations sold in the United States; regional sales data breakouts; mattress-size trends; price point analyses; import/export data; household consumption analyses; breakouts for non-innerspring mattresses; contract sales; data on econometric factors that influence the industry; commentary on industry issues and a world mattress report prepared by the Centre of Industrial Studies (CSIL). This annual report also includes valuable information retailers can use to help their stores remain competitive in today’s dynamic and challenging global marketplace.
“The 2014 Annual Report provides the most comprehensive and accurate sales information available for the mattress industry. The report helps ISPA members, mattress retailers and those in the financial sector can track key business trends and make important commercial and investment decisions,” noted ISPA President Ryan Trainer.
“This report also contains good news for the industry, with 2014 U.S. wholesale revenues for mattresses and foundations exceeding $7.5 billion for the first time.” The report is one part of ISPA’s statistical program.
