China, becoming the production center of the whole world for the past 20 years with it affordable costs and availability of products and raw materials in every level of quality is making a debut in Turkey with China Homelife Fair.
China Homelife Turkey Fair, held for the second time this year and visited by 12.076 people, was held in CNR EXPO Yeşilköy Istanbul between 3-6 June with the participation of 700 Chinese firms. In China Homelife fair, which is essential in terms of the economic relations between China and Turkey, nearly 350 bilateral discussions were made between Chinese and Turkish businessmen and they started important cooperation. China Homelife fairs series, organized so as to promote Chinese products in the world trade arena, started meeting the industry professionals for the first time in Turkey last year, after Brazil, Dubai, India, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Poland and Jordan. The fair, whose participation expenses are covered 100% by the Chinese government, is essential for the economies of both of the countries thanks to the geopolitical importance of our company.
Chinese Government started its “Silk Road Economic Belt – One Belt, One Road” project as the Silk Road movement of the 21st century with an investment at the amount of 2.1 trillion. One of the biggest bases of the project covering 65 countries is Turkey. China, becoming the production center of the whole world for the past 20 years with it affordable costs and availability of products and raw materials in every level of quality is making a debut also in Turkey with China Homelife Fair for the past 2 years. “Turkey as the Connection Point between Asia and Europe” was discussed in the “Turkey-China Economy Panel” held on June 3, Wednesday as a part of the fair and with the participation of Vasip Şahin, the Governor of Istanbul. In the fair organized so as to strengthen the investments made in Istanbul, which was participated by the Hangzou Delegation led by the Mayor of Hangzou, Xie Shuangceng and Shanghai Municipality Trade Commission under the Presidency of Yang Xiong, Istanbul Development Agency and Hangzou Municipality signed a Commitment Agreement (MOU).
Thousands of different products with various usage areas, from world-famous Chinese silk fabrics to elegant wedding gowns and leather jackets, from lighting systems to small house appliances and from domestic appliances to garden furniture and construction materials met visitors in China Homelife Turkey. Gülden Parlak, International Relations Manager of Sinerji Uluslararası Fuarcılık, which conducted the organization of China Homelife Turkey, said: “We held our fair with the participation of 700 Chinese firms, a growth of 350 percent compared to the fair held in 2014 with 200 Chinese firms. Many of the important firms of China brought their high quality products to Turkey with 100% government support. Turkish businessmen, having to get to know the products closely, made positive interviews and started important businesses. Our fair will continue in the years to come and we believe that the trade agreements between China and Turkey will accelerate thanks to China Homelife Turkey.”
The opening of the fair in which 50 thousand different products were exhibited was made by Istanbul Governor Vasip Şahin, Deputy President of DEİK (Foreign Economic Relations Board) Turkey-China Business Council Executive Committee Yavuz Onay, President of TÜÇİAD (Turkish Association of Friendship and Solidarity With Chinese Businessmen) Kemal Koçak, Chairman of the Executive Board of MESİAD (Merter Industry and Business Association) Yusuf Gecü, Project Director of Prime Ministry Investment Support and Publicity Agency Ahmet Sami YAVUZ, Vice Inspector of Shanghai Municipality Commission Xu Wenjie, Commercial Advisor of Consulate General of China Zhu Guangyau, Commercial Consul of Consulate General of China Huang Songfeng, Deputy Mayor of Hangzhou Xie Shuangcheng.
