As an experienced furniture brand Futon started mattress production with the entrance of 2014.
Adding a new item on its product range in the furniture industry Futon started mattress production. Serving the industry with a quality team of 50 personnel, Futon sells its products at 280 sales points. The company targets offering the healthiest mattresses to the domestic and world markets. Pointing out that Futon ship 25% of their products to foreign markets, Sedat Dogan, general coordinator of the company said that they would continue their services with their developing dealer network and quality service philosophy. He answered Sleep Well’s questions:
Can you brief us about Futon?
Since 2007 Futon brand has been offering modern and sport furniture and mattress varieties combining quality with reasonable prices. We offer products complying TSE standards, environmentally friendly and healthy with a wide dealers network addressing to every kinds of customers. As the leader of the metal furniture accessories Futon makes its production at the factory of Bursali Metal in Kayseri.
Our sector has come to a very respectful position. Our production line that had started with a few sofas has reached tens of product kinds along with mattress production and all offered to our customers. At its current position our company has been one of the few names coming to mind when it comes to modern and casual style furniture. Today we export 25% of our products to the markets such as The Netherlands, Germany, Romania, Northern Iraq, Georgia and Greece.
Can you be specific about your products in the mattress industry and about their features?
We are one of the newest producers of the sector, however, we are an experienced company in modern and casual furniture with very strict quality principles. All Futon branded products are subjected to R&D studies and tests before presenting to the consumers. We have plant based fabrics, multi spring and pocket spring system 100% natural mattresses with no harm for the human health.
How do you carry out your R&D studies?
We have a quality R&D team working continuously on this issue. They concentrate to improve existing products and develop new ones, new designs by visiting domestic and international fairs. Besides, we have close contacts with a design studio exchanging ideas and develop new designs.
Any comment on the industry or your activities?
The main factor for us is human. No matter what we produce, we prefer competing with quality and healthy products. We are suppliers but we are conscious of the fact that we are consumers at the same time. Our main principle and motto is, as our founder Mustafa Aydemir puts it, “We never produce any product that we wouldn’t use!”
