One of the major furniture brands Dogtas, planned to have 94 stores in abroad by opening 25 new stores in various countries by the end of 2015 and targeted a revenue of 28 million dollars, 20 % increase in export markets.
Recent opening is the largest of the series and has 2.5 thousand sqm of covered space, the largest store belonging a Turkish furniture brand. General manager Hulusi Acar says, “We are one of the larger companies in the furniture industry in Turkey having around 200 stores in and out of the country. We now emphasize on growing in export markets. We aimed to be known in the world by our 50th anniversary.” He added, “Sales drive prevailing in the industry have made our products commodities, made of copied designs. We emphasize on the production of likeable, emotionally impressive, emphatic designs. We also pursue an aggressive growth by opening to new markets and new segments.” Dogtas has increased its exports by 17 % in 2014 by opening stores in Europe, Asia, Africa and Arabian Peninsula. Following the one in Amsterdam, stores will be established in Wien, Zurich, London and Cologne.
