Founded three years ago, Doctor-Bed grows in retail. Started with three stores in Adana, it currently has nine outlets. Coordinator of stores Furkan Karakas informed about the company and its story.
“We have shop in shops in the country. Our products are sold in 600 points. We are growing our sales network by signing contracts with distributors. Our name, Doctor-Bed successfully reflects health of the mattresses. Here it does not mean medical doctors, instead the concept of being expert in his work. Our products are not medical goods, but are healthy products. In our concept, our staff have to wear white gowns as the MD’s uniform.”
We deliver products to our stores
“We focused on Istanbul as a target segment in domestic market. We offer advantages to distributors in Istanbul. If a store design its shop in line with our concept, we assume the cost of delivery. We do not get any complaints from buyers. Any complaint is dealt with by our personnel. That is, we offer customer an aftersales services as well.”
Target is the Middle East
“We export our products to Belgium, Holland, Jordan, Dubai, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. We try to increase the number of export markets especially in the Middle East markets. We also aim to open new stores in the country and in abroad. We are going to participate or visit more fairs with an aim to increase our presence in the middle east markets.”
35 different mattress
“Pocket, Hercules, and bonnel springs are used in our mattresses. Besides, we have latex and visco kind of mattresses. In total we have 35 different products. Mattress culture has not been matured yet in Turkey. Customers in abroad are conscious while choosing mattresses. We have to emphasize on the need for special stores selling mattresses. Furniture sellers may also sell mattresses.”
