In the pandemic process where sales operations change and exports gain ground, companies that attach importance to digitalization take a step forward. Arif Emre Ölmeztoprak, Export Marketing Manager of Bellona, which continues its activities in accordance with the new normal, said, “We have once again understood how accurate it is to work on products suitable for online commerce.”
Arif Emre Ölmeztoprak, Export and Marketing Manager of Bellona, evaluated Bellona’s process in the pandemic period.
“As known, the Covid-19 pandemic came to our agenda in the early days of 2020. This pandemic, which affected the whole world, changed the balances of trade as well. We faced travel restrictions, quarantine impose at transit passages and closing down of stores. Our trade was slowed down because of the quarantines imposed on international transportation in early days. Afterwards, our activities were slowed down because of stopping of establishments other than food and medical. When the pandemic influence was added on top of economies already suffering various economic difficulties, the conditions became harsher.
During this period, we were in a close relationship with our customers. We regularly received updated information from them, as well as shared information with them.
While all these were happening, we started thinking about how to adapt our company to the new normal. We have once again understood how accurate the work on products suitable for online commerce that we started last year was. By improving our product range, we developed our ready-to-assemble Flexy Bedbase shipped in a box.
Although the Covid-19 negatively affects our country and our world in many aspects, it will bring a new perspective that will change our lives.”
