Established by Giuseppe Sbroggio in 1978 Alberta Salotti, the first name in Italian sofa business invented Bellavita beds.
Characterized by different headboard solutions, Bellavita bed is available in fabric or leather. The bed has a strange design looking as if it’s all just a bunch of big pillows, with the headboard also designed in foam. These foams are seamless, but quilted, so that it keeps the form together despite the absence of actual, solid metal or wood frames. Thick upholstery serves as an added layer that protects what’s inside. But at the same time, it also lends an aesthetic appeal to the design as it can be made into different colors.
You can easily lay your mattress atop the Bellavita bed. This works really well for a minimalist and contemporary bedroom. But because of the size of the upholstered frame, including the headboards, this will probably look best in a spacious place.
For the past thirty years Alberta has been a synonym of quality in sofa design and production. The company is based in the Treviso area, in northeast of Italy drawing upon the local artisan tradition and flair for design. During its long history the company has responded to changing tastes with its two main lines of upholstered furniture covered in fabric and leather.
