During this time when steps are being taken gradually towards normalization, companies in Turkey are continuing to take measures against the corona virus, which has spread to over 100 countries.
İşbir Yatak is among the brands in the forefront for many hygiene measures taken in both production and at sales locations. In addition to these measures, İşbir Yatak recently announced that it had developed the ‘Safe Sleep Tunnel-SST’ technology, a first in the mattress sector, in its R&D Center that has reached 10 million TL in investment.
Working with its focus on hygiene during the pandemic, İşbir Yatak has started passing its products through UVC rays with this tunnel developed by Turkish engineers in the İşbir Sentetik R&D Center located in Balıkesir to present products in an even more hygienic condition to consumers.
“Hygiene” is at the focus of production
During this challenging time that the entire world is facing, İşbir Yatak continues to contribute to mankind’s fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. Immediately after the first cases began appearing in Turkey, the brand began implementing a number of different measures and continues to practice the highest level of hygiene measures in all stages of its new projects.
The brand, which provides solutions according to the expectations of customers reinforcing all these measures with elements of hygiene, enables customers to access even more hygienic products by using the Safe Sleep Tunnel (SST Technology) developed by the company.
Hands-free packaging
The Safe Sleep developed after long years of work in İşbir Sentetik’s R&D Center located in Balıkesir, is in the last stage of production. The mattresses, which are made more hygienic with the UVC rays, are then packaged without any hand contact.
“We did not postpone our investment plans”
İşbir Holding CEO Metin Gültepe, who pointed out that the world is going through a challenging time, said “The furniture sector, just like many other sectors, has been affected by the crisis during the pandemic. However, we have not postponed our investment plans, which we started in the first months of 2020. On the contrary, we have expanded our investments to meet the expectations of our consumers with additional investments and projects like the SST technology. In our R&D Center, which we have installed on an area of 1,550 square meters in Balıkesir, we continue to work together with Gazi University, Aegean University, Bursa University and Balıkesir University. We hope that the technologies we have developed will be useful to our consumers”.
