Offering innovative solutions in the mattress sector, Aldora, a company located in Kayseri, the center for furniture and bed industries, is hopeful for the year 2014.
Abdullah Kazan, general manager of the company introduces his company, which produces both for domestic and international markets, wants to get more share in Turkey’s 6 billion dollars’ market.
On his company
Established 16 years ago in Kayseri by some entrepreneurs the company, Aldora is then shared by a greater partner in Istanbul. Manufacturing is carried out in a factory of 40 sqm. and products sold in every region of Turkey and to more than 40 export markets.
On products portfolio
Aldora produces panel furniture, coaches, armchairs, beds and bases. In total there are 14 kinds of products. We mostly produced soft and trendy mattresses. Customers demand more for beds having spacers, special finishing and quilts. We have supplementary products for our main items. We aimed to grow with our bed section in 2014.
Bamboo beds are for natural solution in sleep. Made by completely natural yarns the product are highly soft, shiny and anti-bacterial. Thanks to its raw material, Bamboo is lighter than others and is more absorbent than cotton, high permeability for air. It is ideal for summer nights.
Another product is called Thermospa, is made for balancing the heat during sleep time. This smart bed contains thermospa material in the fibers that absorbs and reproduces the heat in different temperatures.
Viscoline is healthier for head, neck, belly and hip thanks to its visco materials.
On technologies used in manufacturing
Besides visco, thermospa, and anti-bacterial technologies, we have levander, silvercare, 5 zone bag spring technos. Levander products are based on natural levander that sooths in sleep. It also prevents and protects against bugs and mites. 5 zone bag spring products are for balancing the weight of the body on various zones of the spine. They have different hardness features for different parts of the body.
On production facility
We produce in our factory of 40 sqm in Kayseri. All processes are carried out there. Our quality control center controls every stage of manufacturing from procurement to through delivery to after sale services. We buy raw materials from domestic suppliers. Some of them are importers. We can by quality materials from domestic suppliers.
On exports
30 to 40 percent of our production is imported to Turkic countries, North Africa, Middle East and Europa. We sell to retail chains in Europe.
On the industry in general
Turkey has caught a serious growth path in this sector. Furniture sector makes billions dollars of exports of value-added products. Turkey’s target for furniture exports is about 6 billion dollars. We have this potential. We are capable to produce fast and with quality, In summary, furniture industry is the most sound industry against crisis.
Our firm has realized 15 percent growth in 2013. Last quarter was rather difficult. In the first quarter of the year 2014 the situation will be the same. But, later on the system will corrects itself. Exports will be more important to keep the balance, if domestic market squeezes more.
