How did your journey in the industry begin and how is it going now? I would like to start my questions by getting general information about your plans and projects.
We are a family that has been an industrialist in the sector for more than 30 years. As a manufacturer, my family and I have been serving for a long time in the production of Wadding-Felt used in mattresses and the insulation sector. Therefore, we have gained some knowledge and experience both in the raw material production of the sector and in the production of finished products.
Could you please give information about your production capacity and product range? I also want to know your usage areas.
We produce Bed-Base and Headboard in an area of 3000 m2 in Kayseri. In addition, we have a monthly production of 2000 mattresses and 1000 sets of bases/headboards.
How is your work in e-commerce going?
We attach great importance to e-commerce. In order to establish our sales system on this subject, we have put www.kayseriyatakbaza.com and www.razzoni.com web pages into service of our customers. Due to the pandemic period, we had to postpone our online sales for a while.
What would you like to say about R&D and innovation? Does the industry need new products? I’m also wondering what kind of work you do on this subject.
Manufacturers always have to improve their production and product range. We are aware of this situation and we develop innovative products regionally. When we look at this issue globally, it is necessary to find different solutions for the different needs of each region, because there are various differences between the product range used by each region.
This is clearly reflected in the product variety of many automobile companies. In multinational fast-food companies, we see that products are made according to regions and companies are named according to regions. At this point, we continue our R&D studies regularly.
What suggestions do you have to improve sleep quality? What do you think is the most important issue we should pay attention to when buying a mattress?
The important thing for us is that our products reach the ultimate consumer without any problems. We spend an average of 2700 hours a year on our bed/base. We should not look at this issue only as sleep quality. Therefore, it is important for us to experience both sleep quality and physical relaxation. The most important thing to pay attention to when buying a mattress is that the mattress is suitable for our physical characteristics. A person with a spinal cord problem cannot sleep comfortably on a very soft bed. A mattress that has regional spring distribution and feels different in the weight areas of the body will provide a more comfortable sleep and rest.
I would like to learn about the main reasons that make your products different in the industry. How would you describe this situation?
We are a customer-oriented company. We diversify our products according to the demands of our customers. A customer’s request from any country is very important to us. We strive to serve our customers in the best possible way. We also try to add our own interpretation to our products. Such factors bring us to an important place in the industry.
Which regions do you export to? What are your general views on this subject? I also want to know the ratio of your exports in your total sales.
We increased the share of our production and sales in exports up to 70% in 2021. Exporting develops the manufacturer and gains different experiences. In addition, exports provide a great support to the development of our country. We export to European countries, the United States and neighboring countries. It is very important for us to produce more value-added products because we are a company that constantly improves our export volume.
We have a very big competitor like China in the global conjuncture. I think that our country and we can take a huge share in this competition with the Price/Benefit index. In this context, the pandemic period brought positive points to our country. I hope that we can make a lot of profit from this process and increase our export rate to 90%.

Our industry is huge and that’s why we need to work hard. We want to increase our production capacity, but it is more important for us to produce value-added products. In Europe and the United States, we aim to be more active. Therefore, we are planning to increase our sales channels. We will continue to be one of the most important companies in the sector by improving our production standards.
