Bellona has recently opened 5 new stores in the Aegean and Marmara regions. Already having opened 15 new stores since the beginning of the year, Bellona has plans to open another 8 stores before the year is out in order to attain its preset new store goals. The furniture industry’s most loved brand Bellona proved once again with 649 stores that it is the Turkish furniture industry’s leading brand.
Bellona invests 50 Million TL
Boydak Holding CEO Ertunç Laçinel expressed their decision to expand Bellona in the furniture area by initiating new investments worth 50 million TL. He said “the new investment will be completed in 2017, adding both new employment opportunities to the region and increasing Bellona’s domestic and international market share.” After the store opening in Manisa, the brand opened 4 new stores in Istanbul back to back, presenting consumers with 5 new stores in 2 days, proving their leadership capacity once again.
New stores provide a thousand new jobs
The new stores opened by the biggest names in Turkish furniture industry, owned by Boydak Holding, are responsible for the creation of a thousand new jobs directly and indirectly. The group includes the furniture industry’s most prestigious and best loved brands, and with 1.747 stores throughout the nation, it is clearly the industry trendsetter.
Boydak’s CEO Ertunç Laçinel underlined his belief in the Turkish economy and its dynamics, “We shall continue sustainable growth in the domestic and international markets with the strength derived from our forward moving furniture industry. In total we’ve opened 40 new Istikbal and Bellona stores, and have plans to open another 15 by year’s end. Total investments for opening these new stores have reached 120 million TL. The 40 new store openings have added 1000 new jobs in the last year.” Laçinel indicated their intentions to support Turkey’s 2023 vision with further initiatives, “as we come to the end of 2016, our group looks forward to making important contributions to the Turkish economy.”
In his speech Boydak Holding Chairman of the Board of Directors Abdullah Güzeldülger said that their main goal is to make R&D and innovation based investments that will augment exports. Güzeldülger indicated that the new investments will tip the scale towards R&D, adding “The Bellona R&D center which will be in operation in 2017 will be the biggest and most innovative R&D center in Turkey dedicated solely for furniture.” Güzeldülger commented on having Europe’s largest integrated production facilities for furniture, and paving the way for brand new developments overseas especially emphasizing Bellona’s Turkish origins.
