Rendering services to the sector for almost 17 years Weltew has been continuing to develop mattress production plants. Ugur Yasar, Marketing Manager of Weltew, said that they would invest in machinery to increase their panel capacity by 30% in 2014 adding that they had always realized their works with an understanding attaching importance on quality for success, corporation image for a sound ground, and R&D studies for customer satisfaction. His answers to the questions of Sleep Tech follow:
How long have you been in business?
Established in Inegol, Bursa, in 1996 our firm has grown by realizing our high level targets one after another. Operating on a total area of 90,000 sqm of which 45 thousand part is covered, has become an integrated facility to produce modular furniture, soft products, cases and mattresses. Employing 370 people, Weltew, with one regional directorate and 4 region offices, has become a company represented throughout Turkey.
What kinds of materials do you provide for your products and where do you get them? Do you import any?
We import furniture-mounting materials but we mainly purchase raw materials from leading companies in the domestic market.
How do you develop products? Do you have natural products?
We analyze the needs of current consumers we design our products in a way to respond those needs. It is important for us that the product should be functional, ergonomic, aesthetic and economic.
We use natural wood in some of our products although they are not 100%. Possessing all quality standard certificates our company’s quality policy is to design products nonhazardous for human health and offering solution to individual needs. Our vision is to be innovative and competitive in the sector.
Can you give us your production, export and domestic sale figures?
We are exporting to 42 countries mainly in Europe, Middle East and Turkic Republics. We have monthly capacities of 300 sets of panels, 1200 sets of soft products and 3000 cases. We export 20% and sell the remaining 80% in the domestic market.
What about your new investments?
Our new mattress production plant’s construction is underway. In addition, we are investing in machinery to increase our panel capacity by 30%. We work with an understanding attaching importance on quality for success, corporation image for a sound ground, and R&D studies for customer satisfaction. We have felt the positive results of these principles every day more and our company has been placed among the most leading furniture and mattress producing companies.
